We get prepare to photograph you and it all begins with details from your reservation (30 Minute or 60 Minute)

1. Simple Backgrounds Put The Focus On You

A simple background with minimal distractions where your face takes up 60% of the frame allows your face and expression to take centre stage.

2. Your Eyes Speak For You

Your eyes are the emotional centre of your profile picture. Think of a feeling that fits the confidence you want to project - look into the lens and raise your lower eyelids.

3. Dress For Where You Are & Where You Are Going

Wear something that reflects your personality and current (or future) occupation. Solid colours work best, and textures can add interest. Avoid busy patterns or logos unless they’re part of your brand. We have mirrors but ask that you arrive prepared to be photographed - we want to photograph the genuine you.

4. I’ll help you find your genuine expression

It’s not everyday you have a professional headshot made. The first step is to talk. We’ll sit down briefly to discuss how you want to be seen, how you will be using your profile pictures and then  we get to work capturing that moment where you look both approachable and competent.

The use of soft, continuous, lights with professional portrait lenses will flatter your face and brighten your eyes so that viewers are drawn to your engaging profile picture.

While a headshot is not a glamour image, post session, I will perform gentle touch ups on any temporary blemishes and flyaway hairs that can take away from the impact your profile pictures may have - without you looking fake.
